Nebraska Ave. and Sidney Street

Year Built: 1929

The building here was at one point owned by a glass company, then left vacant, and ultimately restored maybe five or six years ago for residential use (at least, I'm fairly certain that's its current state.) It is a building with class.
Full view of the surroundings – I consider the way these buildings fit in to the communities around them to be an important part of my project.

Thanks to some knowledgeable people, I learned of St. Louis' property information site, Geo St. Louis (http://stlcin.missouri.org/citydata/newdesign/index.cfm), and also learned the tricks of navigation. It's not particularly straightforward. However, I was able to get some photos of this very site from 1998, according to the label. Obviously, all credit goes to the city employee or whoever it was who took them.

And yes, Geo St. Louis is free. Use it if you wish. You'll probably be on your own for navigation.

Indeed, it was a glass company at one point.
